My goal for this project was to create a coffee brand with a slight whimsical design but still keeping it relatively modern.
Research
I first started my project by taking images of the eastern blue star flower found in the midwestern part of the United States.
Sketching
For the sketches I tired to come up with different ways to simplify the shape of the flower. Out of the six iterations I ended up with the second sketch.
Digital Iterations
Final Logo
The final logo has a slightly detailed emblem around the main image to help give it some dimension while still being relatively simple. The stem and the center of the flower connecting together gives the illusion of a magic wand.
Product Design
I had the logo down, now I needed to figure out how it would look like on this brand's products. I figured I could just add the logo itself to products like a regular coffee cup drinks would be served in. As for the coffee bag, I could add other visual elements such as patterns.
