The Wise Home Interface project objective was to develop several screens for a smart home interface on a mobile device. These screens were created with the interface users in mind to allow for accessibility, a clear and concise layout, and allow users to have easy controls to navigate espcially for homeowners with multiple devices.
Research
This part of the stage was to explore the different interfaces that already existed to create ideas and concepts for the interface creation.
Sketches
Focused in on components and features for the screens. Sketched out the parts and details first to later piece together to figure out how it would be laid out.
Digital Iterations
Used Adobe XD to start creating the digital ideations and iterations. There was lots of playing around with scale and arrangement of shapes, arrows, icons and information. The exploration aided in developing a clean design.
Color and Typography
The colors chosen were made to be friendly and inviting to appear warm and approachable.
